Careers Mentoring Coordinator

Full time and part time posts, Bedford.

4YP in partnership with Bedford Giving

4YP together with Bedford Giving run a highly successful Careers Mentor Programme using volunteers from the local business community.   School students are mentored for an academic year to build the essential skills and knowledge needed to progress to successful and rewarding employment and thrive at every stage of life.   We are seeking talented individuals with great communication and organisational skills to manage and co-ordinate the program.

The role:

The Coordinator role is pivotal in recruiting business mentors and matching them appropriately with young people identified by their school.  The Coordinator ensures that the necessary administration, induction training, and ongoing support is in place, to facilitate a safe, and valuable experience for all involved.

Salary and hours of work:

Job Title: Careers Mentor Co-ordinator

Salary £28-£32 FTE

FT and PT roles available. Monday – Friday

NEST pension.

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Business Coordinator

Location: Mainly remote, some travel in and around Bedfordshire.

Type: Full-Time / job share

Salary: £28-£32K p.a.

We pride ourselves on our strong team culture, dedication to quality, and passion for the work we do. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our administrative HR functions, quality processes, and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative HR Functions:
    • Manage/support the recruitment process and other HR related administrative tasks
  • Quality Processes:
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Marketing Support:
    • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, brochures, and social media content.
    • Manage and update the company’s website and social media profiles.
  • Business Support
    • Manage business contracts e.g. insurance/mobile phones/IT support etc.
  • Other duties to support the Director as required etc.
