4YP is looking to recruit a passionate and proactive Employability Coordinator to join our team.
Location: Bedford (hybrid working – schools and home)
Hours: 21 hours/week (ideally over 4 days)
Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 FTE
In this role, you’ll be a vital connector between young people, schools, and employers, helping to deliver employability and career-related learning projects. From coordinating mentoring sessions to engaging with local businesses and supporting volunteers, your work will directly shape the futures of young people in Bedford.

4YP is looking to recruit an additional qualified Careers Adviser to join our team.
In this role you will:
- Provide 1:1 careers guidance meetings in school
- Work closely with school to ensure the provision of effective careers, information, advice and guidance for young people as appropriate.
- Be organised, self-motivated, flexible, and committed to supporting young people’s futures
- Work across Bedford and Central Bedfordshire
- Have the ability to travel
Part-time or full-time hours available – salary dependant on experience/qualifications
Term-time only contract with the possibility of additional holiday work (funding dependent)

Are you passionate about youth, community, and social impact?
As a growing social enterprise, 4YP supports young people across Bedfordshire through youth work, mentoring, and careers guidance. Behind the scenes, our Advisory Board plays a vital role in helping us stay accountable, strategic, and aligned with our mission.
We’re now looking to expand our Advisory Board with both:
- Advisory Board Members
- Non-Executive Directors
You’ll bring your professional experience to a diverse group of volunteers who meet quarterly (during the evening) and offer ad hoc support to the Director as needed.
🧠 What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance
- Support the Director in shaping 4YP’s direction and impact
- Offer sector knowledge, insight, and constructive challenge
- Ensure transparency and accountability in how we work
🕒 Time Commitment:
- Four evening board meetings per year
- Occasional additional meetings or phone calls as needed
