4YPUK Youth Work Team are recruiting for a Lead Youth Work Co-ordinator, Lead Youth Worker and Support Workers in and around Bedford in partnership with; Bedford Borough Council, Great Denham and Wixham Parish Councils.
The Person: reliable, passionate about working with young people, honest, kind, patient, respectful, team player, non-judgmental, professional and organised
Your Approach: young person centred, sees the person beyond the behaviour, works with what is presented, flexible, engaging, empowering
Experience/qualities: leading/supporting locality youth work, informal learning, targeted, detached, outreach. Emotional resilience, mental health wellbeing.
Qualifications: JNC/Level 3 plus in Youth Work preferable,
The Work: an exciting opportunity to consult with young people work at existing well attended youth clubs and build provision in new localities: creating, planning and delivering sessions young people want, evaluating sessions, working in community settings.
The Deal: The Lead Youth Wok Co-ordinator role is for 21 hours per week, the support roles are for 3 hours per week evenings only, salary depending on experience and qualifications.
